Easyorder is een abonnementsservice die kleinere handelaars tools biedt om zonder technische voorkennis een eigen verkoopssite en -app te bouwen.

Gents productiehuis Spotonline realiseerde eerder al live action case studies van specifieke Easyorder gebruiksscenario's. Voor een algemenere introductie van wat Easyorder te bieden heeft werden plannen gemaakt voor een korte dynamische animatie-explainer.

Spotonline en communicatiebureau Nelson Group leverden de ruwe inhoud van de video aan. Ze vroegen een cleane vectorstijl, met het oranje Easyorder logo vormgegeven als cartoonpersonage.

Voor onze karakter- en asset-ontwerpen vertrokken we dan ook vanuit de eenvoudige geometrische vormen waaruit het logo bestaat. Het originele ontwerp was geïnspireerd door speelse kinderboeken uit de jaren 50 –waarvan het modernistisch minimalisme mooi past bij hedendaagse vector icoontjes. Voor de finale versie hebben we dit ontwerp aangepast om meer mogelijkheden te hebben met expressie in de ogen, alsook om het kleurenschema lichter en frisser te houden.
